Hey everyone! I’ve been busy over the past few weeks working on recording episodes for my new podcast and I’m excited to share the first episode with you all in this post! The name of the podcast is the “Chess Chatter Podcast” (original, I know) and I am happy to co-host it with my friend and student Varun Kumar. During each episode we’ll chatter (wink wink) about a range of topics from strategy and decision-making to the psychological warfare that can unfold during a game. Mostly we’ll be focusing on psychology for adult-improvers. The episodes will generally be about 30-ish minutes long which is perfect for listening to during your commute to work or while you’re doing household chores (I always listen to a podcast while doing the dishes). We will have guest interviews in future episodes too.
In the first episode we talk about setting and achieving chess goals. We discuss why we should set goals, what makes a good goal using the SMART acronym, how to measure and track our goals and finish up with a few key takeaways. If you want to hear what those are, then be sure to listen to the episode below!

We’ve already recorded a few more episodes and will be releasing them soon. The plan is to upload episodes each week on Friday. If you enjoy the podcast episode then please follow, subscribe and leave a 5-star review on the audio platforms above since those help a ton! Thanks in advance :-)
See you in the next post!
