Hello! My name is Dalton Perrine.
I started playing chess when I was 10 years old. Since then, I have learned and improved a lot, became a FIDE Master (FM) and got into coaching professionally when I was 21 years old. I have been coaching full-time since 2014 and have been a Chessable author since 2021. At the beginning of 2020 (right before the pandemic started) I decided to double down on my chess-playing career and work towards the International Master (IM) title. This blog will follow that journey as well as other thoughts and chatter that I have about this wonderful game.
